Your description make me think it's urethane (Green) but it can't be
urethane if it's open cell.  A test for open cell foam is put water on it
and see if it absorbs the water, if not it's closed cell. If it's urethane
you can fix it with two part urethane foam. [ keep it cool for density
control.]
