Well, you knew it wouldn't take me long. I've reweighed my plane, although I had to weigh a lot of it separate, since it's sort of "opened up" right now. Everything altogether (including engine oil) is going to be 713 pounds, and I figure I still have about 7 pounds of paint to go, so I'll bet it'll be about 730 pounds. That'll give me a power to weight ratio of about 6.7:1 with half fuel, so I think I'll be just fine in the climb department! Wings are not attached so I couldn't nail down the CG, but I think I'm still on track to be just right there too, even though the battery is located on the aft side of the firewall.
Right now I'm concentrating on getting the engine wired, plumbed, and ready to spin a prop. I'd like to get start testing and tuning the engine while it's still cold outside. Besides, if I had something that not only LOOKED like an airplane, but SOUNDED like one too, I'd be a lot more fired up than I am now, which is faced which a bunch of subsystems that don't quite add up to an airplane. I can't wait to see if I can climb the 12 degree slope out in front of my house... Mark Langford, Huntsville, AL N56ML "at" hiwaay.net see KR2S project at http://home.hiwaay.net/~langford
