Page 19 of the January 1990 KR2 manual shows the build up of the spars. I believe that what I said led to some confusion. What I called spar caps, it calls spar web (plywood). The long piece of spruce sawed and placed on the top and bottom of the spar, with spacers between them are called the spar caps. For these, the grain is horizontal along the length of the spar. The web (plywood) is vertical and used to glue the structure together to reduce both bending and twisting.
