Hi Gavin. Just food for thought, but have you looked in the archives to review the option of using Chev composite leaf springs for your KR?
I bought mine for $35 CDN, prep'ed them, tested them, and posted the results about two years ago. The end result a set of legs with sufficient capacity and flexure. Hope this is of help Gavin.
