What I got was that weather got them and they landed on a road.  One was OK,
the other had a lot of damage such that it had to be loaded in the U-Haul. 
Then the un-damaged plane took off and caught a wire.  That one was totally
destroyed.  You are correct that both of them came on to the gathering and
took their planes home in the U-Haul on Sunday morning.

The part about catching the wire hearsay about what caused the second
accident, but, I do understand that neither had anything to do with the
condition of the aircraft.  In fact I got all of this second or third hand,
except that I did see them leaving on Sunday morning and they were at the
banquet, so I know that they are OK.

Weather is a scary thing.  I barely escaped from a terrible fate on my way
back from the Columbia gathering.  We need to get this event during a time
when the likelihood of good weather is much greater.
