Anybody know the scoop of what happened when Jerry Stapleton and Mark Stothers (sp) crashed their KRs on the way to the gathering. I heard it was on the national and local news but haven't heard anything about it. I've check the NTSB reports and don't see anything yet. It would seem unlikely that in a flight of two, both KRs would have developed mechanical problems resulting in both airplanes being totalled.
The good news is both pilots walked away and drove to the gathering with the remains of the their aircraft in a UHaul. >From those who attended, was it mechanical or something else?
