NetHeads, I'm about to paint my airplane, and really want to paint the top silver, including vertical stab, where the com antenna lives in the leading edge. I know that it's not recommended to use metallic paint over the top of an antenna, but I'm wondering if anybody's done it and either A) got away with minimal degradation of radio performance or B) did it and and proved why you're not supposed to do it. Any real-life experiences out there?
