Bob,

Why do you feel the need for a heated pitot/static probe?
Do you intend to fly IFR? If you get into weather in your
KR that requires a heated pitot/static you will probably
have already encountered something to bring you down.

By the way, I have a heated pitot/static laying in my garage
(for 10 years now) that I got from a Cessna. It is probably
a 12 VDC unit and I assume it works. I chose not to use it
on my KR and went with light weight 1/4" tubing instead.
Check with any aircraft salvage yard (Trade-a-Plane) or
mine might be for sale. Seems like when I give people deals
on my excess "goodies" I come up short. I made a real
good deal to a friend on an art.horz. for his C-172. He
installed it and then sold the airplane. Had I known I'm
sure the price would have been "adjusted" a bit.
