I was always told that the test for whether or not a private pilot was 
violating the compensation rule was: would the compensation or pay occur 
regardless of the flight? If the pay or compensation would transpire regardless 
of the flight then you were okay. This would agree with your explanation Dana. 
I too am learning alot about the owning of an aircraft by a corporation. I 
mentioned the portion about the regs for someone who commented amount needing a 
commercial license to operate the aircraft in any commercial capacity, which 
you and I also addressed. I was totally unaware about the other factors 
surrounding the correct use of corporate purchase and ownership of an aircraft.
