Last week a friend of mine gave me a copy of the 19 June, 2003 issue of 
_Machine Design_ magazine. Pages 72-75 have an interesting article on 
diesel engines for airplanes. That's right, diesels! How about a twin 
flying 127 mph and burning 3.0 gph, or the same plane at 80% going 208 mph 
burning 10.7 gph! Interesting!

If you would like to read the article for yourself and you don't get the 
magazine you might ask a friendly tool and die shop if they get it. From 
what I can see from the first few pages it looks like this is one of those 
magazines that is completely supported by the advertising so that it can be 
sent for free to targeted businesses.
