I put a gel battery in my KR-2. It's worth a few extra bucks to not have to
worry with venting and getting rid of the acid vapors.
Batteries explode because they generate hydrogen gas when they are charged.
Look at a picture of the Hindenberg to see what hydrogen can do.
I found a small company that sells a full range of gel batteries. They are
most professional in their service and shipping, and their prices are
