KR>Limitations on Crew weight

Dear All,
I have a query regarding maximum weight for the pilot and crew on a KR2. I am 
an instructor in Australia and one of my students recently bought a KR2 and 
wants me to teach him to fly it. On examination of the Aust Flight Manual, it 
states that there is a maximum weght limit of 107kgs. That does not seem 
feasible for a two seat sideby side airplane. 
It is powered by a 68hp Limbach engine.
