Don't know anything about a moisture meter, but I sure could use one. I was wet sanding this weekend and I had the plane outside, so instead of using a cloth to wipe off the residue, I used the hose. Big mistake. I got a lot of water into the fuselage and I think it got in through the elevator clearance hole.
Has anyone installed drain holes to handle situations like this? I think I will have to put in inspection holes back there sooner than later. It is very difficult for a 5'9" 175# old body to crawl back in the fuselage to wipe up the water. This situation would most likely occur anytime you washed your plane if you used a hose to rinse it off. N64KR Daniel R.
