Dana, As much as I despise it, I have to agree that there is a place for TORT, however, it is way out of control. It has been exploited beyond anything that could have been imagined.
It is the reason why businesses like TET go out of business and many others are never born. Just imagine all the great little products that could be produced and businesses that could be started if this situation were under control. Being sued becase you produce a nail gun and idiots cannot figure out that they are dangerous and you should not point and click at someone or yourself Come on. There are thousands of cases like this that never should be allowed. Just the fact that you CAN be sued, is enough to scare most people away from doing a good thing.
