I just returned from a 182 mile trip to visit family and be honored with 4 of my brothers at a Salute to Veterans Day at the local Junior High school. We spoke to 7 different classrooms of young students and shared our military experiences.
Clear blue skies on the trip north with a 20 mph wind right on the nose. I returned with a 25 mph wind right on the tail, not a bump in the air, 100 mile visibility, and made the 182 mile trip in 1 hour and 7 minutes. KR's are real traveling machines. By the way, my little $250 hand held radio with external antenna has an easy 75 mile range. Why spend more???????? Larry Flesner
