There's a simple way to eliminate quoted text. All you do is click "Reply" or "Reply All" then press CTRL+A and start typing.
Hint, CTRL+A will automatically highlight and select all the text in the message, even if you can't see it. When you start typing, it will replace anything that is selected. Just FYI.
