? Wow. I never read the directions to my ICOM A24 handhelds. They both have been plugged into the chargers in the hangars for at least 5 years. If I need to talk to someone, I pick them up and transmit while still plugged in. If I need to go mobile, I unplug them and go. The units and the batteries don't seem to be any worse for the abuse I have unknowingly perpetrated upon them.

I most likely never read all of the info in it as I am a man and never read instructions!!! Right!!!
