I think the glass referred to as "silk weave" is any generic very light weight cloth such as the 1.5 oz "deck cloth" as sold by Wicks Aircraft. On the turtledeck you will want at least one layer of "KR cloth" or equivalent and then finish with a layer of the lightweight cloth for easier finishing if desired. My entire KR is covered with the lightweight cloth, wood boat and all. It sealed the wood and made the KR cloth on the wings and tail easier to fill/sand. As always, your results may vary.
