Don't think for a minute an engine problem as everything to do with the builder.Maintenance and operations do.Jim flew his plane many trouble free miles.We all are responsible for the condition of our power plants and they are experimental.If you want someone else to be responsible for your equipment go with standard category aircraft.Oh,and they ain't perfect either.Tommy W.
