If I wanted to get my ticket today I'd look at buying a C-150, getting my license, then sell it for something better, like a KR. 150's are available for under $20K, some even under $15K with good time left on the engines. You could get your ticket for little more than the cost of fuel and the instructor as the airplane is purchased so cheap that you could sell it for near your purchase price. Larry Flesner
