I used a second clamp with a rubber insert, hole to hole, to attach the cable where it passed by engine mount tubes. I may have also used the clamp with rubber insert on the cable and this post has me thinking I'd better check the rubber for deterioration as they are now 10 years old. The KR is opened up for annual inspection so it's a good time to check. The clamps can also be attached to small secured tabs when nothing else is close to the cable run. I seem to recall I use one clamp with rubber insert mounted to a mount tube, attached a 2 inch tab, and attached the cable clamp to the end of the tab. To check installation, have someone push/pull the cable from stop to stop as you look for any cable flex. No flex allowed over entire length of cable run. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32133949/IMG_8088.jpg double clamp on mount tube for the carb heat cable. Larry Flesner
