I would highly recommend that you extend the tail on the KR1 to improve stability and reduce pitch sensitivity, especially if adding more wing area like Diehl skins. One more bay would help, but I'd go for two, along with more rudder and horizontal stab. A larger rudder will improve spin recovery also. Might as well start with KR2S plans and narrow it down. We had that conversation last week, so check the archive. A typical VW is closer to 160 pounds. I plan to build something similar, but with Corvair power...
