You're right, totally confusing. I just gave up on all that and used 5 X 5 and don't even really care what it means cause the tires roll really nice on pavement and grass. For the numbers, I just hope that 5 X 5 today means the same thing 5 years from now when I need another set, so I can get the same thing when asking for a 5 X 5. Now, you need to start thinking about how many "ply" do you need? How many is too much? Is there such a thing as too much? How many is too few? What are the consequences of all these decisions I must make to get my plane rolling? I think I will just go back to bed.
