Buy someone's project; if you pay attention, you will save build time, get something well built, and get a full set of plans for less than you would spend for the materials. I have a KR2S and KR2 project (not for sale) and each came with a full set of plans, builders logs, etc. We all start with the idea that a KR is a hot rod, but basically it is an aviation equivalent to a motorcycle; small, fast, and you will need to pay attention. I haven't finished building the KR, but mine will weigh a little less than my HD Dyna Super Glide Custom and the KR will probably be a little faster. My cost will probably be about the same to build the plane as the bike cost.
