You guys are starting to worry me with flying habits that require you to use enough brake pressure to brake your rudder pedals. :-) My right pedal assembly broke at the weld after 400+ hours of constant flexing, not from heavy breaking. I only feather the brakes at the end of a roll out and to turn on one wheel on the ramp. As a mater of fact, that's where my pedal broke, stopping a one wheel turn around in front of Mark's hangar. I've never needed them for directional control on takeoff or landing. It might be that my Cleveland brakes are effective enough that I don't need to apply a great deal of pressure to the pedals.
