Hi Larry, Thanks for your correction to Mark's field. The KR is 603# with a Revmaster 2180. I have a prop from Tommy W that is giving me about 3150 static on the ground. No deployable drag now and I've thought about that for a while. I've never landed it here but the takeoff used about 1000' and was fine (landed at a much longer field.) Still think this is "do-able" for my field?
In my C177A Cardinal I use about 1000 for takeoff & 600-800 for landings. Thanks again. Thank you. >John Bouyea +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I thing Mark flies out of M38 (Hazel Green) which is 2600 hard surface. He did once fly out of Moon Town but that was long ago. If you are looking to fly out of 2000 foot turf you'll definitely want some type of deployable drag, i.e., speed brake or effective flaps. What do you expect the empty weight of your KR to be and what engine are you using? Nice looking residential air park where you live. 2000 feet, no obstructions, near sea level, should be a piece of cake. Larry Flesner
