Hi Larry 6" had been added to bring the C of G range a bit forward with the very light Jab 2200 engine it had been planned to use, So we are just cutting off what had been added over and above what was on the plans. Don't forget we have a very different system than you guys. All mods have to be proven and approved by the LAA. So they are then responsible if it crashes due to an error they have made. Its called covering your backside! Peter -----Original Message----- From: Flesner via KRnet List-Post: krnet@list.krnet.org Date: 17 June 2014 13:53 To: KRnet Subject: Re: KR> Got the go ahead

I guess the powers to be in England won't accept the 1000+ hours of actual flight time on just 2 KR's in the USA with much heavier 0-200 Continentals hanging on the original (with slight reinforcement in my case) firewall. Is the 3300 Jabiru really that much different in weight than the VW? Larry Flesner P.S. I seem to recall 16 rings per inch on the wood but that might just be a number I pulled out of my backside also. Wait for something more official. _______________________________________________ Search the KRnet Archives at http://tugantek.com/archmailv2-kr/search.
