Yes, the EFS-2 is perfect for the VW and that is what I tried to get accross to 
Ben Ellison.

He stated that the reason is because builders see the Revflow and AeroCarbs 
being cheaper
and think they are getting the same thing, so they didn't buy the Ellison.  
Thus.....

Regarding the Rotec, I had one and really did not like the way it was set up.  
The diaphram is remote 
and the throttle linkage is "goofy".  I got rid of is as soon as the 
opportunity came along.  When I bought the 
equivalent of the EFS-3A, it was $600.  I thought I was getting a deal.

There's a product from Australia equivalent to the EFS-2, made by Rotec. 
I've never seen one but it appears to be an Ellison copy.  Price is 
around $1200 with shipping.  

It's nice not to have to fiddle with the carb or worry about the engine 
dying on a low final (although I still always do).  Since I got my plane 
from Steve in 2006 I've never had to touch the Ellison.  The EFS-2 is 
perfect for the 2180.
