Yes, the EFS-2 is perfect for the VW and that is what I tried to get accross to Ben Ellison.
He stated that the reason is because builders see the Revflow and AeroCarbs being cheaper and think they are getting the same thing, so they didn't buy the Ellison. Thus..... Regarding the Rotec, I had one and really did not like the way it was set up. The diaphram is remote and the throttle linkage is "goofy". I got rid of is as soon as the opportunity came along. When I bought the equivalent of the EFS-3A, it was $600. I thought I was getting a deal. ____________________________________________________________________________ There's a product from Australia equivalent to the EFS-2, made by Rotec. I've never seen one but it appears to be an Ellison copy. Price is around $1200 with shipping. It's nice not to have to fiddle with the carb or worry about the engine dying on a low final (although I still always do). Since I got my plane from Steve in 2006 I've never had to touch the Ellison. The EFS-2 is perfect for the 2180.
