They work very well for low level flight, where you probably will not need 
mixture control.  In fact, if you don?t care about having mixture control, they 
work very well.  I have a friend who flew with one for years and it never gave 
him a problem.  However, he never flew above 3500 feet.



My main objection to the way some do mixture on that, is the ?cobbling? up of 
something that makes it not dependable.  Be sure you have carb heat ready and 
don?t hesitate to use it.
