I keep a similar list going on my Piet and other projects.  However, on the 
Piet I also have a column on the side where I can indicate that an item on the 
list is essential to safety of flight.  You would be surprised how many items 
are not, and at some point when you run down that list you'll realize "there's 
nothing really keeping me from flying the plane".
