Thanks Allen. It got the idea from Larrys plane. This will he an extra light. Wicks had a setup an all in one navigation/strobe light unit. for the wingtips. This also has a rear facing white light. I think it's in the mid $300 range.?

That's why certified LED's have elements pointing in different directions. Per regulations, you need coverage of 140 degrees horizontally and 180 degrees vertically for the tail (white) light.
