That's an awesome plane, Robert! I particularly like the "other woman" photo on the first page (click on the photo). You're wife obviously has a pretty good sense of humor. I think you'll be fine with the modifications you've made to the tail and your CG especially if you start out with most of your fuel in the header tank to keep the CG forward for first flights.
