Lyc and Cont won't change to new carbs due to the FAA COST to recertify 
anything with those idiots..? Electronic ignition systems instead of mags;? 
same problem.? Govt gone nuts..

I have always agreed with this kind of statement but Jeff and Larry are right, 
they do work. For those interested in this topic there is a good article in 
this month's AOPA on "modern" air cooled engines. The article is written by 
Klaus Savier of Light Speed Engineering. If you don't get AOPA just Google the 
company and you will see the same kind of information. This guy is an 
efficiency expert and has developed a lot of equipment for the experimental 
aircraft market. Electronic ignition, electronic fuel injection, automotive 
spark plugs just to name a few. He has a Rutan Varieze with a IO-320 that he 
uses as his test bed and gets incredible performance out of it.
