Thanks for the link. Austin Meyer lives here in Columbia, SC and has spoken about this software at one of our local Chapter meetings. It is also available to work in conjunction with hardware that will actually fly the plane to a landing as shown in the video. This would be most helpful in cases where a pilot had become incapacitated. Instruct the passenger to press the red button in case of such an emergency, and the hardware, working with this software, will land the plane.
I agree with Joe that there is no substitute for training, but there is also no substitute for information. In many cases, there is no way to have the information that this software can provide. I am just disappointed that it is not available for my Ifly or the SkyView and other devices that I would much prefer to use, than an Ipad.
