if you have the RAF48 airfoil with 3 degree washout as called for in the plans, and the wings are built true, I'd remove the strips rather than installing the missing one. My KR (with plans built wings) has a gentle a stall as any aircraft I've ever flown. Good buffet before the stall and gentle wings level break. I shot video of my wing tufted and the stall progresses from root to tip with the outer several feet of the wing having the air staying attached giving the outboard end of the aileron roll control. Getting stall strips located correctly to correct bad stall characteristics is as much an art as a science and I'd not trust an amateur builder to get it right. Go with the plans built wing. It works. I can stall my KR , straight and level, power off, with feet flat on the floor with full aileron control.
For pitot / static see https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32133949/100_5555.JPG zoom in to the pitot / static. The tubing is from the hobby section of the hardware store (thin 1/4" aluminum) , a round headed screw with1/4" diameter head is J.B. Welded to block the static and 4 or 6 1/32 holes drilled an inch or two behind the head. The dark upper part is also J.B Weld holding the tubes together (it was a replacement assembly so no paint) and a flat, thin rectangular piece of aluminum is J.B. Welded to the tubes and two screws attach it to the wing. I bent the tubes internal to the wing at about a 45 degree angle and just secured the hoses with a snug friction fit. Works great. Make sure to get them aligned parallel to the slip stream at cruise. Mine are in the outer wing panel as I'm running a 60 inch prop and wanted to avoid prop wash.
