You are calling patron-title.inc incorrectly. My guess is that you are doing [% patron-title.inc patron => your_variable %] and your_variable is not a Koha::Patron object. If it's a hashref you should use [% patron-title.inc borrower => your_variable %] Yes, it's confusing..
