I am getting the same error reported in a thread in 2017. 1.Upload a zip file containing photos and index file. 2. File uploads and processes 3. Returns a 500 error. 4. Log reports: [Wed Jun 20 09:26:27.839953 2018] [http:error] [pid 27852] [client 111.111.111.111:61746] AH02429: Response header name ' inflating' contains invalid characters, aborting request, referer: http://<myintranetserver.com>/cgi-bin/koha/tools/picture-upload.pl
5. Check the patron records. PHOTOS ARE UPLOADED!! The suggestion was to try version 17.
