Hello everyone! There are some cases where a mismatch between the authority heading subfields and the receiving bibliographic ones could happen. This occurs when enabling the thesaurus plugin for bibliographic fields who are not designed as main/added entry fields, either in MARC21 and UNIMARC instances; I will bring one example each.
UNIMARC: 410$t set to receive the heading of an authority record from a book series authority index. When choosing the authority record from the thesaurus plugin search results, the authority heading is placed in 410$a instead of 410$t. MARC21: 260$b set to receive the heading of an authority record from a publisher authority index. When choosing the authority record from the thesaurus plugin search results, the authority heading is placed in 260$a instead of 260$b. I'd like to exchange some ideas on this topic, with librarians and developers along (hence the post in the main list). Do you use any workaround ("redirecting" the output coming from the plugin, changing the authority heading subfields to reflect the bibliographic ones...?)? Is it made this way by design (expected behaviour), or would it make sense to change the code to handle these cases? Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts!
