Title: Sound card not detected (Dummy Output) after update to kernel 4.15.0-177-generic or 4.15.0.180-generic Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Regular update including new kernel images. After reboot, sound was not working and only the dummy output is shown. Description: Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS Release: 18.04 Package: linux-image-4.15.0-177-generic (also happens with 180-generic Hardware: Dell XPS 13 with Intel HD onboard sound (Realtek HD ALC3246) Expected: Sound to work, mic to work, sound card recognised in settings.
