With this kernel there is no sound at all. In gnome sound settings there is only the "Dummy Output" device. Just out of curiosity I tried to fix this specific problem following this article: https://www.linuxuprising.com/2018/06/fix-no-sound-dummy-output-issue-in.html But this didn't fix my problem.

I can only toggle sound on (= 100%) and off (= 0%). What I found out is that the Master channel seems to have no effect for volume adjustments, but the PCM channel does. If the sound is muted, PCM is set to 0 and therefore the sound is toggled off, but when I increase the sound a bit, PCM jumps straight to 100, causing the speakers to be very load. I have attached alsa-info output.
