I don't know what is causing that issue which, on my system, does not happen every time. In /var/log/messages I see: Jan 13 00:39:16 genipizza dbus-daemon: Would reject message, 1 matched rules; type="method_call", sender=":1.4" (uid=1001 pid=28545 comm="kded4 ") interface="org.freedesktop.DBus.Introspectable" member="Introspect" error name="(unset)" requested_reply=0 destination="org.freedesktop.Hal" (uid=0 pid=28458 comm="/usr/local/sbin/hald ")) Jan 13 00:39:16 genipizza dbus-daemon: Would reject message, 1 matched rules; type="method_call", sender=":1.4" (uid=1001 pid=28545 comm="kded4 ") interface="org.freedesktop.DBus.Introspectable" member="Introspect" error name="(unset)" requested_reply=0 destination="org.freedesktop.Hal" (uid=0 pid=28458 comm="/usr/local/sbin/hald ")) and so on.
