I removed all my ports and cleaned up anything straggling from incorrect 
plists last night. Just got KDE back up an hour or two ago, and alt-tab is 
now working. I did not have to change anything in my user configuration. 
Once I finish building everything, I'll take a look at what is different 
in my /usr/local/kde4 heirarchy and hunt for clues.
