Announcing the release service releases is what makes it shift date each month.  We could separate them but then would the release service announcements go back to being a product which is what the intention is to avoid.  What's strange about the decision to debrand it from being a product into just a service with lots of products is one anyone feels too strongly about rather than just being one that nobody objects to. My preference was always to rebrand it as KDE Apps Bundle or similar but that had objections and with KDE decision making is often taken as the option that nobody objects to.  If you want to re-open the debate you'd need to work out how to come to a new consensus.

Personally I agree with Carl's concerns about these announcements and your view that it would have been better to have a "KDE apps bundle" product. Perhaps our experience with the de-brand option can drive a new conversation about the alternative option.

This makes a lot of sense to me.
