Then sorry for being dumb, but can please somebody explain what all this mumbo-jumbo here is about? If you just dlopen an ffmpeg linking lib that might or might not be there, there's no problem. Either a distro ships ffmpeg and it's indexed or a distro does not ship ffmpeg and AV media is not indexed, what doesn't matter because it's also not played, thus random dead data consuming HDD for no reason.
