Ok, seriously and on topic: a) if this ffmpeg / avlib kindergarten junk does not short term stop, using a plugin system in this context will be inevitable; also because those idiots apparently still ship incompatible libs with the very same path names. b) I got several libs from ffmpeg on my disk. Quite uninformed, i'd guess libavformat is relevant in this context and libavcodec is not? (Ie. the indexer needs to be able to read the container, not the data stream) Is that lib actually affected by those wannabe "patents" as well?
