I'm still going to advise you to use prebuilt binaries primarily because
building KDE in a VM on commodity hardware is going to be *slow* . Unless
you're targeting developers who are going to contribute to core KDE SC
components like kdelibs, I fail to see why you would want to build KDE from
ground up.
