I did not read the whole thread, just the first sentence of Kristian's reply 
and I fully agree: the 
screen locker needs to be in the compositor. Something I have been thinking 
about doing in X 
as well. If time permits I will write a blog post about it, some time soon.

And yes as the compositor we can do whatever we want, even give Plasma the 
focus. More 
likely in a Wayland world, the compositor will be part of Plasma or Plasma will 
be part of the 
compositor. In general I think it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early to think about 
it and I hope 
that Wayland development does not get stuck in discusions about foo, network 
transparency, 
bar, network transparency and network transparency.
