Bug ID: 496037 Summary: "Add to places" needs to be promoted and maybe given a shortcut Classification: Applications Product: dolphin Version: 24.08.2 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: i...@mikelpr.com CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 175693 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=175693&action=edit how adding to places looks like SUMMARY Right now, the "Add to places" action is way too hidden. On defaults, you have to open up the hamburger menu, go to the More menu (which shows the menu bar items), go to File and then click "Add to Places" you can add it manually to the toolbar which is fine, but I think it should by default already be there and maybe have a keyboard shortcut, I think it's an action that is expected to be easily available by most users STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. try to add a location you're on to your favourite Places 2. (you do it as I described previously, hamburger -> more -> File -> Add to Places) OBSERVED RESULT well yes you add it just fine but it's too convoluted for an action that is probably very much expected to be common place EXPECTED RESULT should be more reachable by default SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20241107 KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.7.0 Qt Version: 6.8.0 Kernel Version: 6.11.6-2-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics Memory: 31.1 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION attaching screenshot I'm just giving my opinion but I think it makes sense, your call -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
