1. Not a laptop. I use three monitors on a desktop.
2. 6800 XT
3. Whatever is default when using wayland session. probably x11 since I've not
created a conf file.
4. It never logs in and the password is greyed out. I believe the buttons will
not work either but I haven't tried. Its like the step right before the
password is accepted but the screen doesn't proceed.

I always have to use my third monitor. btw this problem exists on my primary
monitor which seems arbitrary compared to the reports I've seen. My secondary
monitor will never load a login screen (black/sleep it wakes on login). Maybe
there was a point during plasma lifespan where all three monitors showed sddm
but its almost always been that way.
