Bug ID: 494782 Summary: Strings do not have helpful context Classification: Applications Product: kaidan Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: me...@olomono.de Reporter: emir_s...@icloud.com Target Milestone: --- Greetings, translator here. Currently Kaidan strings do not seem to have the recommended User Interface Markers[1] to indicate the location of a specific user-interface string. Adding these markers add a lot to the quality of the translation, since it allows the translators to distinguish and tailor the capitalisation patterns and other possible language-specific rules. Currently it looks like there is some sort of automatic context[3] added, but it does not help at all. As a bonus point, it might be a good idea to review the updated HIG[2] for writing texts, and using the specific punctuation and mark patterns for a better presentation and accessibility of the user interface strings.
